Coach Berg,

Some of my best memories of Middle School and High School were swimming on the Chaska Swim Team! I have told countless stories over the years of the antics that went on in the pool and the locker room. But of all the stories I tell I never leave out the fact I had one of the best coaches a swimmer could have. The only regret I have is not listening to your advice, you always told me I should push myself a little harder in the pool. Although I did not institute that advice at the time, it has stuck with me and it has gotten me through a lot of life%u2019s situations. Although I cannot make it on the 20th of January I will send in a donation and I thank you for many years of dedication to your students and your swim team!

Best of luck and you will be in my prayers!

Being a part of the Chaska swim team was truly one of the most fun experiences I have had. I remember how great Coach Berg was at letting each of his swimmers develop at their own pace. Thanks for the great memories and I know I will always look with fond memories on my time with the team.

Best regards to you Coach,

Coach,

It seems in today%u2019s world people are less dependable, dedicated and honorable. It is these qualities that stand out in my mind about Scott Berg. Even though I never really got to know Scott on a personal level, I always new he cared about me as well as the other swimmers and students. I am very sorry to hear about your circumstances and I hope for the best possible results and that you can still laugh and enjoy life to the best of your ability. I am still swimming competitively and enjoying the sport in different ways. As we grow older things change and sometimes we have no choice but to change with them. I have found in my life that if I look for the positives through my adversities, this gives me the opportunity to grow and learn from my experiences. This was one of my greatest life lessons that Scott Berg was major contributor to.

Kindest Regards, and Best Wishes,

Michael Sorensen

I cant put into words how much of a joy it was swimming for Scott and Katie....They were the best times for me, while I went though a lot in high school swimming was my release and even though my family was not there to support Berg made me feel as though I was important and not just any old swimmer. He really had a way of being rough and tough on us (100x100's) but yet he was still always so caring and kind to each of us and took the time to know us individually in the classroom and in the pool and made us feel like we were all needed to be a team!! I will never forget all he was to me and I tell stories to my kids all the time about my time swimming and now my daughter wants to be a swimmer when she gets into school, it is just too sad she will not be able to have as good of a coach as I had.

Hi Mr. Berg! :)

There aren't many days that go by when I don't recall at least one thought about my swimming days...

Mr. Berg, you have no idea how much you have influenced my life. Swimming was by no means easy; however, having you as a coach made swimming so much "easier." I looked up to you so much and tried my very hardest in the pool and in the classroom to make you proud! You were like a parent to me.

I feel so fortunate to have had you in my life throughout middle and high school. To this day you are still one of my biggest heros. You will remain in my heart forever! Thanks for every memory you have given me. Swimming wouldn't have been the same without you Mr. Berg! Stay strong!

You're in my Prayers,
Amanda Bennes
