Fundraising Efforts
BATTLE OF THE BANDS
On Friday, December 7, Chaska High School hosted a Battle of the Bands, titled "Battle for Berg" in which all proceeds went to the Scott Berg Fundraiser. Glow necklaces were also sold at the Battle, which helped raise more funds for Mr. Berg.
There was a great turn out at the event, and all 8 of the bands put on a great show. "Brunch With The Carbon Units" was the winning band that recieved a prize of 4 hours in a recording studio in the Minneapolis area.
Overall, the Battle of the Bands raised $1,100, which helped us surpass the $10,000 goal!
A special thanks to the Chaska High School Student Council members who planned and ran the event, the bands who performed, and all who attended this year's battle!
Hawks football game glow necklaces and "Miracle Minute"
Chaska DECA students and Event Coordinators sold glow necklaces at a recent Chaska Hawks Football game and organized a "Miracle Minute" in which they collected random donations from audience members for one minute during halftime to raise as much money as possible. The event was very successful and raised over $750 for the Scott Berg Fundraiser! A special thanks to all those who participated!

Homecoming Parade
"Act FAST for SCOTT BERG'S coming home" was the theme of our entry in the homecoming parade. The Bruno turning seat is extended from the passenger door of the van, and a mobility scooter and lift is displayed at the back of the van. About 10 CHS students walked alongside the van passing out informational flyers to the crowd. It was exhilarating to hear the crowd cheer for Scott along the way!
Homecoming Football Game Chaska 26 - Eagan 0
Our presence at the game served 3 purposes:
1. To raise awareness of the fundraising campaign for Scott
by displaying equipment needed.
2. To raise $$$ by selling glow necklaces and by soliciting donations. The event generated $1757 for Scott!
3. To educate people about the Act FAST acronym and its benefit to potential stroke victims by passing out informational magnets.
Many thanks to COMMUNITY BANK CHASKA for contributing $10 per point scored by the Hawks ($260) to this fund.
The students love Mr. Berg!
"Mr. Berg was my favorite teacher" was a comment heard often throughout the night. And, many students mentioned the Jolly Ranchers he used to hand out. The respect and fondness they have for him was obvious as the kids generously donated money and their kind words. He has touched so many young lives.
